OTC / Other Than Collision

"Other Than Collision, also known as Comprehensive coverage, a type of physical damage coverage. Other Than Collision is an optional physical damage coverage which helps protect your vehicle and it means what it says, it covers you for things other than what would be covered under the physical damage coverage of Collision.Comprehensive (OTC) covers losses caused by missiles, falling objects, fire, theft or larceny, explosion, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief or vandalism, riot or civil commotion, being hit by a bird or animal, or breakage of glass. This optional auto insurance coverage pays to fix your vehicle less the deductible you chooseThe other optional physical damage coverage most people place on their car insurance policy along with Comprehensive (OTC). Collision coverage can cover damage to your car when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle, or other object. It does not matter who is at fault in the accident that damages your vehicle, you can make a claim under Collision however you will have a deductible to pay."
