cross-liability endorsement

"An endorsement that clarifies or alters coverage as regards to cross-liability claims. The endorsement commonly means that cross-liability coverage is provided but originally cross liability exclusions were endorsements that deleted this coverage. If a policy has a cross-liability endorsement it is prudent to read it to ensure it is not a deletion of the coverage. The more common name of the endorsement that deletes this coverage is the insured versus insured endorsement.Cross liability coverage is normally included in a Commercial General Liability policy under Separation of Insureds. It would have to be removed by endorsement for coverage to be deleted in an ISO form."
