Additional Insured

"An endorsement to an insurance policy that names an individual or entity as being additionally insured by the policy. AI endorsements are often requested from subcontractors by the general contractor and developers. The status of Additional Insured is only for the work being performed by the insured usually for specific projects. There are different types of AI endorsements. The differences usually detail the period of time that the endorsement remains in effect and conditions of the endorsement itself."
